McDonald Water Storage has appointed David Stewart as its new Sales Director as it embarks upon a major growth strategy.
The company recently changed its name from McDonald Engineers UK and carried out a full re-branding exercise as it aims to position itself as the specialist hot water storage solutions provider.
David’s appointment provides additional strength to the senior management team and sees him follow in the footsteps of his father and grandfather. David joined the company’s technical sales team in 2009 and becomes the third generation of the Stewart family to join the Board of Directors since his grandfather became Managing Director in 1960.
The appointment is part of a succession planning strategy which sees Bill Stewart take up the role of Chairman with Jamie Stewart becoming Managing Director.
Managing Director, Jamie Stewart, explained, “Being a family owned and managed business enables us to deliver enormous benefits to our customers, responding immediately to customer demands and making strategic decisions quickly to the benefit of all parties.”
He continued, “In his previous role as Sales Manager, David had become a key member of the management team with his technical knowledge and customer-focused approach, and I am delighted to welcome him to the board of directors.”
David commented, “We are entering another very exciting period with McDonald Water Storage and I am looking forward to the new challenge this new role will provide. We have some exciting plans in the pipeline to target new markets and improve the way in which we communicate with clients to show how we can simplify the whole process of buying a hot water storage solution.”
He continued, “We are also looking at product updates which we believe will take our products to the next level in terms of performance, reliability and efficiency.”
