McDonald Engineers UK has designed, manufactured and delivered two high performance 450 litre PLATEflows semi-instantaneous hot water storage solution for an 8 bedroom, 25,000 sq ft luxury home in Cheshire.
 
Working closely with the consultant and contractor, McDonald Engineers Technical Sales Team designed a solution which was capable of delivering a staggering 4500 litres of hot water per hour.

Sandy Cooper Retires – Again!!

After taking early retirement in 2015, Sandy returned to the company just over a year ago to provide cover for our Technical Sales team where his experience and knowledge has proved to be extremely valuable for both clients and specifiers.
 
After over 30 years in the hot water cylinder game, Sandy has now decided to make his retirement permanent as of 1st December 2017.

McDonald Engineers UK has demonstrated their ability to design, manufacture and supply custom made hot water cylinders for high end residential properties by delivering this 700 litre bespoke POWERflow unvented cylinder to work in conjunction with a ground source heat pump.
 
The property owner had reported an issue with their existing cylinder working with the ground source heat pump and asked McDonald Engineers to present a solution.

Vented Calorifier for a School in Manchester

McDonald Engineers UK has designed, manufactured and supplied a Vented Calorifier for a school in Manchester.

The 650 litre vented calorifier measured 2000mm in height by 795mm in diameter and replaced an existing cylinder as part of an upgrade programme being carried out in the school.

Designed to work in conjunction with an 89kW boiler, the vented calorifier featured two immersion heaters and an inspection manhole.

McDonald Engineers UK has designed, manufactured and supplied a bespoke 500 litre buffer tank for the R&A Clubhouse on the world famous Old Course in St Andrews .

The R&A team discovered their current stainless steel cylinder was leaking badly and called McDonald Engineers, who carried out a site survey within a matter of hours and had a replacement copper buffer vessel delivered within 2 working days

Grade 1 Vented Hot Water Cylinder for 5 Star Wedding Venue

McDonald Engineers UK has ensured a five star exclusive wedding venue didn’t let down by manufacturing and delivering an emergency replacement Grade 1 vented hot water cylinder in less than 48 hours.

The previous cylinder had been supplied by another manufacturer only 4 years ago, however the inferior materials used could not cope with the harshness of the environment. The resulting corrosion caused the cylinder to leak at the bottom spinning.

McDonald Engineers UK has designed, manufactured and supplied 30 of its slimline POWERflow unvented hot water cylinders for a property in Berkshire which was being converted from commercial offices to luxury apartments.

Working closely with the consultant, McDonald Engineers technical sales team designed each of the thirty cylinders to meet the expected demand in the properties.

Major Contract Secured for CUBEflow Rectangular Tanks in Sussex

McDonald Engineers UK has secured a major contract for the production of 26 custom designed CUBEflow indirect thermal stores for the refurbishment of a retired housing development in Sussex.

Working closely with the end client and consultant on the project, McDonald Engineers UK surveyed the existing Elson units to assess connection layouts before manufacturing a trial 100 litre unit to assess the suitability and ease of installation.
