30 Rectangular Thermal Stores for Social Housing Scheme

McDonald Engineers have secured an order for 30 rectangular hot water tanks for the refurbishment of a social housing scheme in Scotland which was looking to replace the existing Elson indirect tanks.

McDonald Engineers had been working with the consulting engineers throughout the design process to develop the optimum solution.  This involved changing the indirect hot water tank to their CUBEflow thermal store option, which would give the additional benefit of mains pressure hot water.

After carrying out a detailed site survey, McDonald Engineers designed and specified a bespoke rectangular hot water tank with the connections carefully positioned to match the previous tanks.

This would minimise the installation time and therefore the associated costs by requiring no additional pipework.

McDonald Engineers’ Sales Director, Jamie Stewart, explained “We were originally asked to provide a quote on a like for like basis with the previous rectangular tanks, however after discussing the project in detail with the consulting engineers, we were able to provide a superior solution with mains pressure hot water - thanks to our CUBEflow thermal store rectangular tank.”
